The North Dakota Department of Agriculture is taking recommendations for potential members of an advisory committee that could review applications for perspective growers.
A Grand Forks farmers says he’s interested in the project after growing hemp on his farm in Traill County.
He’s one of a few farmers who had success growing over three thousand acres last year as part of a pilot program.
Chris Adams, Farmer, âI had a pretty nice crop and I think my yields were probably some of the bigger ones in the state.â
State leaders say recommendations for the advisory committee will be accepted until December 10th.
